Statement

My subjects tend to be the abandoned, the overlooked, and the forgotten. Corners of our world inhabited by the discarded. Remnants of society or working men which reflect  meaning and character, achieving great beauty while they are being reclaimed by nature. I aim to be an archeologist of our times.Think wabi sabi, texture, and joy in the ordinary. I use a multi layering approach and paint in pure watercolour with up to 24 layers of paint to achieve deapth , tonal shifts, and dynamics. No white paint is used, I prefer to preserve areas of the white paper surface.
